Nineteen

Three days after Christmas Day I woke to the knowledge that I have been a Mama for nineteen years.
I was blessed when I was chosen to be Mama to this wonderful soul. 
He made me a mother and I have loved him and every day since. 
His gentle nature, wicked sense of humour and kindness are beautiful qualities that endear him to others but the bond we have is one I will always treasure and never take for granted.
Happy birthday, you are so very much loved.

    Wow! I am just coming to terms with having been a mama for ten years and all that that entails. I cannot even imagine 19 years. happy, happy birthday to him and to you too.
