Why am I chopping up perfectly good pieces of fabric and then sewing them back together again? It seems on the surface such a strange thing to do. Perhaps quilting is a little like cooking, we mix up a whole lot of bits and pieces and finish up with something completely different. Something beautiful and worth every bit of effort.
